Here are some pictures of the progress so far.
I know it kind of looks like there are loafers in the corner, but it was actually a breakfast break.
Here's Wyatt peeling logs.
We were thinking of putting the little boys on this job, but then thought it might be good
if they grew at last as big as the tool first.
Driving rebar.
Making ready a log to skid over to the building site.
Three courses stacked and starting to look like something!
Wouldn't you know that the summer heat finally kicked in this week?
So besides waking early, working especially hard, and manufacturing plenty of blisters,
the fellas have been getting lots of sun on their neck and arms.
Zachary has been a great worker, cutting and driving rebar mostly.
Doesn't he look like he's been busy? Wow. Now THAT is a dirty face!
We cleaned him up. The lake was juuuuuuuussssssst right tonight!
I didn't peel logs, or stack logs, or drive rebar, but I refilled ice water, kept kiddos from drifting into
the work area, fixed food, and did the regular baby duties.
I was ready to play too - just let me jump in to cool off, then hand me the camera please!
Day 4 has surprised me with it's progress. I'm thrilled to see those walls going up!
The boys have been working hard and I'm kinda amazed that they haven't dropped
over yet (though I think sleep is sweet when night finally comes).
What a way to end the day - relaxing at the lake. Our guests/visiting work crew have
have been so much fun and as you can see, we are sure enjoying our summer vacation!
What fun, Ana! Wish we were there to be a part....that lake looks good too. Love the pix!
