We had some very special company last weekend!
And because of them, the two of US had a date:-)
We went to Papadeaux's and had some kind of shrimp and crayfish fondue. It was very good, and the company even better! I felt old though, because we weren't a very lively pair. I didn't have any drama to relate about the children, or serious problems to solve. To top it off we were tired. Who ever heard of such a thing?! You can't be tired on your once-in-a-blue-moon date night!!
But so it was:-) We spent some time enjoying pictures of cabins and fancy shacks at the book store after dinner. (as a side, how come the books titled "Houses on a Budget" never even come close to the kind of budget WE are familiar with?!)
Such is life. It was a nice date - we had a good time!
Today was a full "in-town" day with a doctors appointment, and some errands. We all feel bushwhacked, but some good news is that Carolina gained another pound!
Dinner tonight for Little Buglettes was a plate of oranges, snap peas, cheese, and Graham crackers. Doesn't that sound like dinner? Bedtime was even better...
7:30.
I could get used to that:-)

Well you know what happened on my last date night - labour! LOL Sounds lovely though, it is nice to spend time together even if you're falling asleep!
What a fun time for you all!! Tired dates are still dates - they count.
We were under that same beautiful moon too, but I didn't have my camera. Your photo is wonderful.
Just when you get used to their 7:30 bedtime, that's when the time changes, or they grow and start putting you to bed. ;-)
Love and miss you . . .
It would be fine with me if they put me to bed! I look forward to the day I can sleep without wondering if the house is going to burn down!!
And now that you mention it Jess, I remember your last date. It had a pretty good outcome, yes?
Of course! Every date is indeed a date! Count them all:-)
awww. sweet pics.
now that's my kind of dinner. (the oranges, snap peas, etc.)
so...the real questions are: what time did they actually end up ASLEEP, and how many times did you have to go in there???? hee hee hee
Sounds a lot like the dates Jason and I used to enjoy, dinner and then browsing through books at Barnes and Noble. Not that the books there are even in our budget. :)
Well Jenny,
Amazingly enough, the children fell asleep pretty fast, but that was because we had no naps.
Frankly, as much as I like putting them to bed at 7:30, I'm not sure I'm willing to forgo naps yet;-)
Love!
Good news about Carolina. That moon loos so pretty. Here in California, around 6:30 last night, the moon looked like I could reach out and touch it it was so close! Well, the Bible does say that the heavens shall declare his glory, and every time I look up I agree. :)
Yes, that sounds like dinner. A good dinner lol. The kids love meals like that, a bit of this and a bit of that:-)
Yay for Carolina!
Yeah for Carolina gaining another pound! I am so happy to hear it. I have been praying. I hope she continues to do better.
