Birdsong!

Finches
Oh beautiful Spring! Back at home it means everything is green, and the blooming trees are already losing their adornment by now, but here...
I THINK that the brown is turning greener - I think.
As you can see from the pictures, it's a little hard to tell!

This morning, however, I heard a Meadowlark! Oh how my heart rejoiced! It felt a little like home. I keep hoping that Spring will reveal itself eventually, but I was delighted by this little glimmer of hope.

This morning I implemented our first day of a schedule. I feel pretty optomistic, but I know better than to believe that we're going to stick with this program!
The little Bugs did awesome with their chores, with their school work, with their attitudes.

The highlight of my day was getting to take a walk to the park next to our house. Even though there was snow on Sunday, today was dry (no mud), sunny, mildly warm, and fragrant - not to mention again the birds song!
I can't believe it! At nine this evening, I don't feel as zapped as I usually do, and not only that, I got everyone into bed myself since AJ was working late!
WOW! Thanks Lord!!

Here's some pictures of my Spring time fun today.

So is that your house in the pic? How I would love to live out in the country somewhere. It's my dream someday...especially after living in these apartments surrounded with people and no privacy! I like to keep my windows open but if I do that, the whole world, all the neighbors can hear my every move!

Looks like a fun day!

Hi Molly! Hi Diane!
Yes that's Uncle Wyatt's house - our home for the present.
I'll send Moll a picture I took from the back, just for giggles;-)

It is just on the outskirts of the little town we live in (pop. 35,000, and about twenty minutes away from the big city.
This neighborhood is pretty fancy for us, but it is nice in that there're hiking trails, and a little playground and ball field, plus... the bare field (which you can see, has plenty to intertain this crew:-))
I am very grateful for everything that it is, and try not to look backwards at what we had - while it was more rustic, it was home, and we loved it.

Love you two!

I echo your sentiments- "no mud." That sounds good to me. You don't even want to know what my back porch looks like right now.

Last week, my heart soared when I thought I heard a bird chirping outside my window, only to find that the children were downstairs watching Curious George, and the bird sound came from the TV. Oh, well.

What a cool park! Maybe a later spring means a longer time enjoying the blossoms. Happy B-Day a little early! :)

Oh, what a wonderful picture of you! Oh, how I miss you!!! COME BACK SOON!

Please?

With sugar on top and a cherry for good messure.

I am still sick and today came pretty darn close to one of my most awlful days ever.

My loving husband took our precious gasoline money to come home on his split to take care of me... Thank you Lord. I don't know that I would have made it on my own.

Love you lots and miss you. ~H

Yeah - Zachary took that! Pretty good, eh?

I miss you too. Glad to hear you'll still be there when I come back! I have been a little concerned the last couple days;-)

I think you should come out for a visit! What-da-ya think?
We'll be home in July. That's not far away now:-)

Love you Super (super-duper) Momma!!
